About Us

THE TRUSTED CHOICE
Innovative solutions that work
At the intersection of science, grit, and real-world impact, SoRite’s leadership brings together decades of expertise—from janitorial trenches to high-stakes hazmat scenes.
For over 150 years, cleaning has been ruled by toxic relics—bleach, ammonia, and corrosive compounds disguised in friendly packaging. It’s time for a change.
SoRite is on a mission to make life safer, cleaner, and better for everyone. Whether you’re oxidizing fentanyl, relieving pepper spray exposure, disinfecting a patient’s room, or tackling stubborn pet odors at home, SoRite delivers industrial-strength performance without toxic trade-offs.
Founded in 2015 by entrepreneur and former janitor Autumn Ryan, SoRite began with a breakthrough: a low-toxicity, precision-level sodium chlorite-based cleaner that was both highly effective and remarkably safe. What started as a solution for the cleaning industry has since evolved into a trusted line of decontamination and disinfectant products used across public safety, healthcare, corrections, and residential settings.
SoRite is the first company to harness the power of sodium chlorite (NaClO₂) as the active base across a complete product line. Our patented technology (U.S. Patent #11,944,097) is EPA-registered (91603-3), FDA-reviewed, and verified by third-party DEA-accredited labs.
who we serve
SoRite was made for the people who don’t get to cut corners—first responders, healthcare workers, janitors, corrections officers, pet parents and more. Whether you’re cleaning a school with our disinfectant or oxidizing fentanyl with DECON, SoRite is your go-to for fast, safe results.

autumn ryan
Autumn Ryan started her first company the day after college graduation—as a single mom determined to build a better life for her daughters. That janitorial company grew into a multi-million dollar enterprise, and later a successful national franchise. But Autumn saw a deeper problem: the cleaning industry was still relying on toxic chemicals that harmed the people using them. So she walked away—and began building something better.
Self-funded and fueled by conviction, Autumn poured nearly a decade into bringing SoRite to life—maxing out three mortgages on her home, running and living off of AirBNB for six years - three with no income, and investing everything she had into R&D. Along the way, she earned national recognition on Good Morning America and in Dave Ramsey’s publications. But more importantly, she earned trust—by creating chemical solutions that actually work, and don’t compromise safety.
Autumn’s leadership is grounded in integrity and grit. Her vision for SoRite is global and generational: a world where no one has to choose between performance and protection. 'It takes a janitor to know a janitor,' she says. So she built a company not just for industry—but for humanity.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
-
RADICAL INNOVATION
We didn’t tweak old formulas—we torched them. SoRite is built from the molecule up to do what the old guard can’t.
-
Bold Education
We don’t sell scare tactics—we expose 100+ years of chemical B.S. When people know better, they demand better.
-
safety without side effects
Non-toxic. Non-corrosive. Non-negotiable. We don’t trade performance for peace of mind—we deliver both.
-
proof over puffery
We test it. We publish it. We own it. Every SoRite claim is backed by science, not marketing spin.
-
trust that sticks
Build trust by making products that work. Period. When it has to work, it’s SoRite.

Dr. David Eaker
David W. Eaker, Ph.D., DABT is the Chief Scientific Officer for the SoRite Company. He was previously Vice President, BD Corporate Preclinical Development and Toxicology, with parallel operational accountabilities for the Laboratory Animal Research Center of Excellence. The combined Preclinical Sciences function provided cohesive strategy and execution for all preclinical and nonclinical work directed to demonstration of product safety, regulatory compliance, and clinical suitability for intended uses.
Dr. Eaker led this department for twenty-eight years with primary responsibilities for nonclinical toxicology (in vivo, in vitro), analytical chemistry, preclinical functionality, and laboratory animal research. This work supported all business units and programs worldwide, including innovation projects, NPD programs and sustaining engineering (medical devices, drug/device combinations). The required scope of performance included ISO/FDA/GLP and international RA/QA (e.g., EU MDR) compliance. Most recent efforts included support to programs in sustainability, “materials of concern”, sterilization research, and proactive engagement with regulatory agencies and BD customers to drive product approvals and adoption. David also served as the Institutional Official (IO) for BD under the US Federal Animal Welfare Act and had responsibility for the BD Company Policy on responsible use of laboratory animals.
Dr. Eaker has training and experience in organic and analytical chemistry as well as toxicology and lab animal sciences. Prior relevant positions include posting as a toxicologist and associate faculty member of the Duke University Medical Center, prior leadership of chemistry and toxicology at a private CRO, and conduct of experimental toxicology at a consumer products company. Dr. Eaker is certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology, and has served (or currently serves) on ISO Working Groups as well as AdvaMed and EucoMed initiatives related to material biocompatibility evaluations of medical devices.
